the spanking rule had nothing to do with daycare, we were told that information as a guidline from the state for our own homes. as far as the rules only applying to daycare are you saying that a daycare that has rules of turning in bruises to HHS is okay and is a valid rule but that people who live outside of daycare should not report this kind of thing? that is where you are wrong!
Tator_tot, here is the law in your state, keep documenting and you should have no problem.

"unreasonable" corporal punishment which causes "injury" to the child.

I think many courts will agree that a belt is unreasonable, why not just swat them with your hand?
