What is the name of your state?ny

At what age can a child decide(or can he at all)that he wants to live with the other parent after a divorce? I've been searching for web sites for this information but have come up empty.

In, MI, a child can't choose. The court will take their opinion into consideration, but it's only 1 of 12 factors that are used in determining custody. Custody is determined by "the best interests of the child" as defined by your state law. Find out what that consists of in your state. The best site I've found on this is "childcustody.net" - It's spelled out point by point in easy-to-understand language.
