What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Md

when filing a motion, when it is ok to say "a copy of blah blah is attached hereto and made a part herof."

Also, can someone explain the difference, or give an example of a motion to dismiss and a motion to quash?

Q: when filing a motion, when it is ok to say "a copy of blah blah is attached hereto and made a part herof."

A: Yes; as long, obviously, as you attach whatever it is. It's amazing how many times lawyers forget to attach whatever. And it's also amazing how many judges overlook this error. Oh...well.

Q: Also, can someone explain the difference, or give an example of a motion to dismiss and a motion to quash?

A: GENERALLY a motion to dismiss says, "I want this case dismissed because [state reason]." A motion to quash says, "I don't want to produce [whatever] because [state reason]."
