Grandparent full custody in Missouri

Missouri. Hi my name is Grace and I have guardianship of my 9yr old grandson. I would like to obtain full custody and have no idea where to start. Here's some information that I hope will be useful.
1. His biological mother(my daughter) and his biological father are in the Missouri department of corrections.
2. I am currently going through a divorce myself.
I know that is not much but I am not sure what information is needed so feel free to ask me anything or tell me any other information I need to have available.

Why do you feel that you need custody rather than the guardianship you already have? What event is causing you to feel that is necessary?
