How do I get my insurance as pri****?

When my ex and I divorced, the insurance my job offered was not as good as his, so he covered the kids and the order says he has to cover them. I have a new job and my insurance is much better than his so I put the kids on my insurance (at his request). My new job also includes a 43% increase in my salary and he's looking to sue me for child support. The "request" worksheet his attorney sent credits the insurance premium in his favor. I would like to note that when I made significantly less money than he did and I had the kids about 60% of the time, he did not pay child support - an agreement we had made to end things amicably (or so he said).
If we are both providing insurance, shouldn't it be basically a wash?
How do I get the order changed so my insurance can be pri**** since it is the better insurance? (The insurance company said that if the order states he has to provide insurance his has to remain pri****.)
Any help is much appreciated.

If you don't have an attorney yourself, you need to get one. His attorney is going to skew the worksheet in his favor every time. You need an attorney to make sure that doesn't happen. What is the current timeshare?

Our case is a bit complicated - but the current time share for this year has him with the kids about 60% of the year and me 40%. He agreed to let me move for my job under "true sharing" terms, then as soon as I had moved, slapped me with a motion to block and it's been nasty ever since. (I know now that I should have gotten the agreement in writing - live and learn) The judge gave him interim custody for this year because by the time it went to hearing, the kids were already in school there, his mother lives next door, etc. We will revisit in the summer and this time I won't be making any agreements with him that aren't chiseled in stone and sealed by the court!!

I do have an attorney now - and he is going to handle the support requests. I want to make it clear that I'm not objecting to paying child support, I do have a problem with the amount they are requesting since it's more than half my take home.

Well..certainly the health insurance that you are paying should be factored in....and the timesharing arrangement should be factored in as well. However its your attorney's job to make sure that happens....as long as you have provided your attorney with all of the relevant information.
