What is the name of your state? Connecticut

I provide services to residents in a complex in Stamford and need some assistance on this matter.

My resident will be going to jail in about a month and wants to turn custody of her child over to the father until she is released from prison.

Her concern is that the father may attempt to keep the child upon her release. What type of language should she use to keep this from happening? You assistance in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Custody is determined by a court order. The current court order stands until another CO replaces it. Any paper between parents would not overide the right of a judge to decide differently. So you can put any clause you want in there, but IF there is a custody battle, a judge will decide who gets or keeps custody.
