What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Virginia- My son has brought me a porno movie he got out of the vcr at his dad's house. Can I take him to court for that? My son very much wants to live with me, his mother. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank youWhat is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

What if your son got that video from a kid he knows?

My point? You'll need to PROVE at the very least that a) it came from Dad's, and b) your son actually watched it, and c) Dad was aware of this and let it happen.

Another question. Was the VCR in Dad's bedroom by any chance?

People still own VCR's?

Are you sure it wasn't an old VCR he found stashed away in the garage dad never got fixed??

Porn isn't against the law. Definitely not a reason for change of custody. Now, if he was showing it to son, THAN it might be an issue. And when your son STOLE this item, you sent him right back to dad to apologize and prompt punishment right?

I still have one, however all my porn is on DVD. Much less chance of it getting ruined that way.

OP, as was asked, did you punish son for taking something from dads without asking. Btw. did son offer this up to you or did you "find" it in his backpack.

We still have a VCR :p

I would definitely like to know the answers to the questions you've been asked OP.

Having porn isn't illegal .

 OMG, my television provider offers porn on demand. Should I give up custody of my child?
No. Just your TV.

And your library card.

And all your neighbors' TVs.

And your child can't visit any homes where there are TVs or library cards.

And definitely keep him out of grocery stores which might have a Playboy on the magazine rack.

It wasn't midget porn was it? Because then you might have a case.

I still have a VCR, it's hooked up to Twain's TV. But I didn't know people still owned porn. I thought that's what the interwebs was for.
