My Boyfriend lives in Oregon and at this time has Joint Custody of his 8-year old son. Back in February of 2000 his ex-wife decided she would file her more support. He said no way! He obtained a lawyer and found out that he was paying to much support (she 60% he 40%). Well things have snowballed..she has refused to sign a statement showing the actually days he is with his son, which is more then they originally agreed upon, thus lowering his payments. Now over a year later, we could care less about the addditional monthly payment we want it in writing the actual days he has visit, so that in two years when she does this again. The judge will say no. Now she says she is going for sole custody and reduced visitations. Oregon is a pro-women state and my boyfriend is afraid she will get sole custody and he will end up with less time with his son. We are wits end, she has lied and minipulated the courts to get her way, she does not care about the little boy in the middle.
Only that she gets her way...can she get sole custody? Doesn't she have to prove he is a "bad" parent. What rights does he have. He is a great dad with a nurturing home. His son always comes first. Help where do we go from here???
