What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? OH

My previous thread was in the abuse forum, but that was locked. I moved the update here because after almost 12 months, childrens services has realized GS15 has been lying and manipulating everyone and there was no abuse. Our lawyer filed to force CPS to follow their caseplan and provide GS for family counseling, to remove the 'no visit' order on me, to enforce visits, to provide all medical and educational records. CPS has filed to keep him 6 more months. GAL filed to let GS talk to judge, GAL just filed that and the court pretrial for all the above is scheduled for the 21st. Our lawyer has finally seen GAL has not been acting in GS's best interest, so she's filing to have him removed as GAL.

The big stumbling block is now GS doesn't want to come home. He's with his maternal great-aunt & great-uncle, and has been there for 8 months. They believe every word out of his mouth. He's allowed to play 17+ sexual & violent video games. He keeps figuring out how to sign up for porn sites, but doesn't realize I have the password for the email account he keeps using so I know what he's doing. He's a gifted student but currently failing 1 class, D's in 2 classes, low C's in 2 classes. He's not in any extracurriculars like he used to be. He has a poor attendance rate at school now, including 2 days suspension. His current placement has hidden safety reports from the caseworker and mislead her about the reason for the suspension. He was only seeing his counselor every 2-3 weeks until our lawyer filed for a report from her, then suddenly he's seeing her 2 times/week. GS wasn't seeing a psychiatrist regularly until our lawyer filed for reports.

GS's mother & father(divorced) have been stepping up and acting like parents when they have interaction with him. That means they will not tolerate his verbal abuse to themselves or others. GS got his placements to tell his mother and sister to stay away. He got the caseworker to stop setting up visits with his father. GS now refuses to see 2 other half-siblings and his maternal grandfather & his wife('grandma' to GS).

The caseworker admits they don't know what to do with him. They know he is highly manipulative. They know he lies. They know he refuses to take responsibility for his lies. But if they talk about sending him home he threatens to hurt himself so they won't talk about it, so he's learned he doesn't have to do anything he doesn't want to do. And he continues to get more oppositional, hostile, angry, and his future is going down the tubes.

Hopefully he'll get a GAL that understands attachment issues like RAD. Before this guy I had the utmost respect for GAL's.

I read on this board about how a 15 year old can not decide if he will visit a non-custodial parent, can't decide which parent he will live with, can't do a lot of things without a judge jumping on the parent that allows that behavior. Those rules do not apply to foster kids and I believe that is why so many teens in foster care are failing at life. Take a kid that has oppositional behavior, tell them no one can tell them what to do, and you have a monster in the making. HIs great-uncle talks badly about me, GS's dad & mom, and there is nothing stopping him.

Anyway, yes, our lawyer finally saw the GAL was not acting in the best interest of our GS, now I hope the judge sees it too.
