My ex has asked that I pay for half of my son's orthodontics bill,in our child support paperwork it doesn't specify orthodontics only dental work,which it says each will pay half of all uncovered dental expenses.My son's braces were not for a medical need but more for cosmetic,although his teeth were perfectly straight it was said he would have a problem eventually that would possibly cause problems later.I myself did not think he needed them but was not consulted on the matter.My question is,since the orthodontics were cosmetic and not a medical need would I be expected to pay half the expense for them ?
