Question: Can a court order back support for a 2 yr old illegitimate child when there was no paternity order till now, no request for support and the child's mother said that someone else was the father. The father was never asked to take a test earlier and had no reason to believe he was the father. There was a reasonable belief based on what the mother said and no request until now for child support. Father has no problem paying future support and was curious about back support.
