california....daughter just went to mediation for custody. ex wanted full custody he presently has every other weedend. during mediation he said he would settle for whole summer. mediator and judge wanted to take away his weekends due to the childs fear and dislike of his father, sad but true. the result was, he still has his weekends only because there was not a motion to take them away and wed.s from 5 p.m. til 7 p.m. both were to go to parenting classes and get physiological care for the child. now the problem. the mother has moved two hundred miles away and is about to move out of the state. i am afraid she will be in contempt of court or worse. i am afraid they will take the child and give custody to the father. they have to go back in six months for their final judgement.

She's treading on very dangerous ground, and your fears might not be wrong. She needs the Court's permission to move with the child.
