I apologize for bothering you all again, but I need to have a question answered. We live in Mississippi. On the 15th my husband and his ex went to court to have his papers modified to allow him more time with his child. The attorneys went into the judge's chambers. His came out and
said "Here's what you're getting" and he had wanted alternate Christmas. What he got was visitation starting at
8 pm on Christmas Day. We have to go to work the next day, so it's like not getting any Christmas visitation at all. As soon as we got to court, his attorney said "This is my
birthday. I have a date at the casino as soon as I can get
you out of the way." We feel like she just took whatever was offered so she could get out of there, rather than debate the issue with the judge. I'm not sure it was even the judge. For all we know, it may have been his ex's attorney that offered that and she took it, just to get done
and go on her date. My husband was so nervous, and so stressed, it was all a blur to him and he didn't even really
understand what all she was saying to him, so he didn't even
realize at the moment what she had accepted for him. Is there any way we can write the judge or have this changed due to the fact that she did not even discuss it with him, she just accepted it and told him this is the deal, and that's all? Or do we have to wait a year or more and do it
all over again?
