Basically, with sole custody the CP makes all parental decisions pertaining to the child....The NCP does not have to be consulted about any decisions.....
Joint legal custody means, that if either parent would like to make a decision pertaining to the child, they would have to first consult the other parent.....

I would define Joint Legal differently. With joint legal parents can make the ordinary day to day decisions without imput from the other parent during their time...However the more major decisions require the agreement of both parents.
