standard order/out of state

What is the name of your state? Ohio

Is the standard order of visitation in effect until or in the absence of a modified order when the NC parent lives out of state. NC has always lived out of state. Parents cooperated with visitation for 13.5 years. Custodial parent is now angry about child flying as adult instead of UM (minor with airline escort) and has stated child will never fly on a plane again, even with as a UM.

NC wants to know if standard order times and dates apply.

The easy answer is, yes, the original order remains in effect until modified.

What does the order you're referencing say with regards to transportation? If it doesn't state that the child MUST fly, then the child doesn't have to fly.

It states that the non-custodial parent has the responsibility for transportation. It doesn't reference the mode, other than allowing a grace period for public transport.

I'm no attorney, but I don't think this allows the custodial parent to blacklist any mode of transport.

It is irrelevant at this point, as NCP is going to forego the winter visit and see if CP cools off by summer.

Thanks.
