My husband just received notice that a Status Hearing is scheduled in a few weeks. He and his ex motioned to modify custody through mediation. He has heard no news of when mediation is to be scheduled.
Is the status hearing the first step to get to mediation? I'm assuming (and I know you'll correct me if I'm wrong) that this is just a meeting with the judge to find out what the issues are that need to be worked out and then he'll order mediation from there?
What needs to be prepared for this?
