What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? GA

Is a person that has been charged with statutory rape allowed to be around younger children?

Only charged, not convicted? They can be around anyone they want, unless maybe CPS has told them not to be.

He can still be around anyone he wants unless there is a stipulation in his sentence that he can't be.

Of course, if one of the child's parents makes an issue of a sex offender being around their children, that can change in a heartbeat and the man could be denied access to those children.

Frankly speaking, a person is foolish to risk the welfare of their children, by entrusting them to a person convicted of statutory rape.

Depends on how long ago the 'offense' happened. Until recently, GA would charge teenagers with statutory.

In some states, a statutory rape or equivalent conviction could mean that an 18 year old had consentual sex with his 17 year old girlfriend. It doesn't always mean a danger to young children.
