What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Michigan

i have just given birth to a baby girl and the father and i do not speak or get along. He wants to "sign over his rights" and i would love for him to do so. He has been no help in this pregnancy, and his family less than decent, so she does not need to be around any of that. I also would like him to terminate his parental rights so that he cannot come back 10 yrs from now and all of a sudden decide to be part of her life...is there any way that i can do this without having someone else adopt? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Just don't let him sign the Acknowledgment of Paternity and don't EVER use public assistance. EVER. Then you'll be happy, he'll be happy and the only person who will lose out is this poor innocent child - but hey, it's not about the kid... is it?

Pretty selfish and dumb move of you to have sex with him and decide to have his child then, dontyathink?? Your kid is going to "love" you when she hears that after asking about her daddy.

Then get married, and in a year see if your husband is willing to undertake another man's responsibility by adopting the child.
