    visitation guidelines, Indiana

Indiana. What are the guidelines for visitation when the parents reside over 100 miles apart? Is the extended parenting time clause able to be enforced?

Google the Indiana Parenting Time Guidelines. There is often some deviation from the guidelines when parents live a distance apart, but still close enough to exercise every other weekend. The age of the child also plays a major factor. For an infant, the parent would be expected to visit in the infant's community for a period of time.

Also what matters is what OP's court order currently says.
Parents should remember 3 things: Love your kids more than you hate your ex; when you have children the relationship with the other parent is until death; your children determine what type of nursing home you end up in.
Nothing stated by me should be taken as giving you legal advice or forming an attorney/client relationship.

Assuming that any current orders exist....or they were not simply ordered to follow the guidelines, which is standard.

Extended parenting time refers to longer visits as the child grows older. There is no mention of distance in the clauses for extended time.

SECTION III. PARENTING TIME WHEN DISTANCE IS A MAJOR FACTOR is the applicable section.
