It always amazes me how the "impressions" of the British are of a staid, repressed people...But your "humor" is so base. Benny Hill comes to mind...lol!!

"Yes...I did!"
"Did you learn any interesting facts about the animals on the movie (Nation Geographic)?"
"Yes...I did learn interesting things!"

Yeah...That would be the reason. And the Dog. And the "gigdiggidy" guy. And the writers. And that it takes place in New England. And that I said so...

Seriously, I have my family tree back to the 6th century. I really am related to the Royal Family...Like many, many, many others.

We got ours to around 1485 (I believe); records prior to that were really sticky. Most of the parishes vital to the research didn't keep complete records....most of them didn't actually keep marriage records or full birth records at that point. It's a little frustrating at times.

There is still the rumour though that one of my great-grandmother's ancestors had an illicit child with a certain member of the royal family at that time...but I think most Brits try to claim that at some point.

Kind of like the overwhelming number of people who all appear to have been Cleopatra in a past life....

My Mom actually published a book on our family. She has been doing Genealogy for about 40 years...Half of Mass is related to to the Royals...'cause they were (are ??) sl**s. ....(that would be the Royals...not half of Mass)
