What are my legal guardianship rights?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Oklahoma

I have legal guardianship of my 5 year old granddaughter and have had it for 4 years. There is no stipulations for visitations by either parent except for the father whom disappeared over a year ago. The mother is my youngest daughter.

About a year ago my daughter started taking her daughter on weekends. There were issues, but I felt it best for everyone involved. My daughter divorced and now lives with her boyfriend. Three months ago my daughter asked me to let my granddaughter live with her and I consented. I then took my granddaughter on the weekends. This entailed switching schools to a new town for her.

This past weekend, because of my big mouth, everything went downhill. Basically I found some porno on my fiances computer and threw a fit. I stupidly told my daughter and am now being denied seeing her at all because the family (my 3 daughters and ex husband) claim my fiance is a pedophile which is far from the truth. I am being threatened right and left by my own kids.

(BTW the porno was not kiddy porn nor saved sites, just a listing in the History)

What are my legal rights? The original attorney from 4 years ago is no longer practicing due to health reasons. I have all of my court docs stating I have guardianship. Can I just go and take her back? There are many things going on in her new situation that warrants her leaving there...deals that were verbally agreed upon that have not happened. If you ask what they are, I will tell you.

Thank you all in advance! What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?

Was the guardianship given to you voluntarily by the child's parents? If so, its quite possible for it to be revoked without a whole lot of fuss.

How badly do you want to tear your overall family apart?

Thank you LDiJ for your reply.

Both parents didnt willingly sign over the baby. I had to fight against the father and the Creek Indian Nation (father is 60% Indian). My daughter willingly sided with me against him, but my witnesses and I were able to prove gross neglect against both parents.

I understand your concern/comment about tearing my family apart which, at this moment, seems to have already happened. My daughter still neglects her daughter and my granddaughters attitude and school problems reflect that.

I just want the little girl to be safe, clean, and happy. I want my weekends back at least.
