 What is the name of your state? Md

Can you withdraw contempt charges after they are filed, and if so when would that be/not be beneficial?

Do you have to follow through after filing contempt, or can you drop the charges?
Sorry...we can't pull teeth here. Dental regulations, you know.

If you don't want to give us facts and details, then we don't want to give you answers.

cough it up, who did you file contempt against, for what reason, and why do you now want to drop the charges.

Contempt charges were filed in February. The hearing is not scheduled until the fall. The lawyer called to find out why and was told that is how the judge wants to handle the case. It doesn't seem worth it to follow through now, it is just causing more animosity.

The other party is now following the court order, if we go to court won't the judge just say that the order is now being followed let's keep it that way?

If you have a lawyer ask him/her about dismissing/withdrawing the motion.
