What is the name of your state?Texas
My 14 year old child has recently moved in with me and I have paid child support all these years . I need to find out what I need to do to have these payments stopped because they are being deducted from my pay check per my x's request several years ago. I want to do this without getting an attorney involved and so does my x as we can not afford one. He said he would reimburse me the child support each month and would write on the check that it is for the return of child support. Therefore I am protected because the courts will have record that I am not behind.( it goues through them each month) Is there something I can do further to protect myself? He is very coniving and it would not shock me if he were to do something underhanded. Please help!!!!!

Read the links I gave you. Research. Fill out the forms from the website. Turn them in, along with the fee. If you want to do it without a lawyer, you have to do the work that you would be paying a lawyer to do.
