Texas.
I am an adult and have recently found my biological father. I want to know what we have to do to have him added to my birth certificate where it is blank now. I can find lots of information on adding a fathers name to a minor childs but wanted to know if it was the same procedure to add to an adult childs. Maybe a simple way?
Thank you!

I don't know TX law on this, but would think the procedure is the same for a minor child.....the father would have to consent to having his name put on the BC. Unfortuntely, in many states, even though a man is determined to be the biological father, his name will not be put on the BC unless he signs it.
