What is the name of your state? Texas

My son 17 years of age, has dropped out of school and joined the army reserves. He is now away at boot camp. The court order states I am to pay child support until the child reaches the age of 18 or graduates from high school. My son is no longer residing with his mother. Can I stop the support payments or do I need to have the court order modified? What is the name of your state?

Military service many times emancipates a child immediately. File for a modification of support based on the emancipation of the minor.
