My husband has 2 children, with 2 different mothers. One child support case recently was closed out, and we are paying the mom through our own personal agreement. The 2nd child, he has had full custody since December of 2013, but continued paying child support until June of 2015. When we went to court in June of 2015, he was told that he no longer owes child support & Jackson credits would be applied to any back child support, and he would be zeroed out. We got a letter saying he owed $400 in interest but it was dated June 2015, so we figured the accounting from the court case just hadn't caught up yet. Then this weekend they put a levy on our savings and took the $400. How is this even possible?
