What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Louisiana

Hello ~ my child support order was set in one parish (county) about 4 years ago. Both my ex and I no longer live in that parish (the children live with me). I would like to have the order re-evaluated and hopefully revised, do I need to file for a change of venue to the parish I live in now first? I can't really afford a lawyer and would be filing the papers myself. Thank you

Check with the chief clerk of the court in your new county and see if your State allows to to file in another county as long as the other party no longer resides in the ordering county.

Silver , you most likely took a trip without even knowing it . :)
