What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? Texas
My husbands 17 yr old son is incarcerated in a boot camp setting for 9 months for revoking his probation. The son barely showed up for school and even temporarily dropped out and seeked a g.e.d.. My husband does not want to get involved or ask questions.I also believe the son will not graduate from high school upon release. Please advise. Is my husband still required to
pay?

My response:

Yes. That's because someone is going to get a bill for the Boot Camp, and Momma idiot is going to have to pay. You see, it doesn't matter who has custody of the child. The fact remains, whomever has custody is still entitled to be reimbursed for the food, shelter and clothing that idiot needs - - and whether it's the State, the County, or Momma Bear, the child support still gets paid. PERIOD.
