    Question child support

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York

My boyfriend and I are engaged to be married. We have been putting off setting a wedding date because his 15 year old daughter used to express her desire to go live with Mom when she turned 16. We are not entirely positive if she still feels that way. My question is if we do get married will my income be included as well in calculating child support? We would prefer her to stay living with us, not just because of child support but mainly because she is doing so well in school. So is my income going to be a factor if we were to get married?

Legally you have absolutely nothing to do with this man's child. There is no we ~ there is only dad, his daughter and her mother. You are a legal stranger. Hence as a legal stranger, your money is yours.

with as many times as this question has been asked and answered on this forum, did you bother to utilize the search function that was provided for you?

I find it interesting you were married to the man when you made your first post on FA, but now you're only engaged. Truthfulness is a good thing, especially if you're looking for advice.

Well, not-really-stepmom MIGHT find that being an overstepper AND a liar-pants will, in fact, impact her not-really-husband's custody of ALL of his children.
