    Exclamation Child Support after Releasing Custody?

    [California]

    Is a parent still obligated to pay child support after having voluntarily released both physical and legal custody?

    Uuuuh.... The Custodial Parent is always legally allowed to seek support from the Non-custodial Parent. Regardless of how the custody situation came to pass.
