What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? West Virginia

A person who has a warrant in one state for non-payment of child support, and a failure to appear charge lives in another state. Can this person be picked up in the state they currently live in due to the warrants in the home state?

They can, and maybe will be if they are stopped for a traffic ticket or something like that. However, nothing may come of it because states tend not to extradite people for warrants for things like that. They simply do not have the budget to do so.

However, if the person's current home state is involved at all in the child support enforcement, then something might get done.

Yes, the person is paying support once again in the state they live in now, however, the ex spouse and children live in the home state.

Or I should say the ex who is paying the support lives in another state, and the support is taken from the paychecks, and sent to the state where the ex spouse and children are at.

It really doesn't matter. The person who apparently is now paying support again still needs to get those charges cleared up ASAP.

If the state CSE agency is involved, the person needs to contact the CSE about the situation. Since support is being paid and presumedly the person is employed, the CSE will be very willing to work things out to ensure that the support continues to be paid.
