child support refund ??

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA

I've been paying child support for about 2 years. It is a court ordered case for child support that i pay. Not just a verbal agreement between me and the ex-girlfriend. i just have a quick question the other day i received a refund for the child support that i pay in the total amount of 3 payments. So i did not get a letter saying that the child support was terminated. Just curious on way i would receive the refund. Also i do not owe back child support it has been paid off. Also the child support payment was coming out of my paychecks. Now since that i am on disability. I am making the payments online( it has been about 7 months now that i have been doing this online payment) just very curious on way i would receive a refund with no letter stating that it has been officially terminated. thanks for any input.

No idea. Could be anything from a clerical error to a legal issue. Ask them on Monday.

It could be they reviewed your case .

If you are on SSDI and they child(ren) receive Dependants benefits because of your disability ,those benefits could have replaced CS payment obligations .

Just a thought .

If it wasn't done and you do receive SSDI , you should make sure your children are receiving Dependant bennies and you should file yourself for modification.

Disability through your job is NOT the same as SSDI.

I called they said that I'm not obligated to pay child support as of now. They said my account balance has been paid off. Also the girl I had the baby with had the pation for child support started in new York.(up state). She was getting welfare assistance when she was in up state new York. Now did I just have to pay off the balance that she made in up state new York. When she was getting welfare assistance. That's the only thing they were able to tell me about the case and that it is in clouser status.
