If a 17 year old moves out without permission, will the parents be required to pay him child support?

How is it not correct? He is moving out of his parents house without permission at 17 that is running away and now you are saying that his parents may have to give him money to support him? Dont think so.

I have never heard of child support being paid directly to the child from parents who aren't even divorced. I guess it's possible.

Check out OP's other thread, her child just returned from running away and wants to be emancipated, so no, child support would not be paid to this child it would still go to the CP if child was runaway.
