What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? MA

My husband has a minor child and was ordered to pay for her health insurance as part of the child support agreement. Can someone clarify if this means he is responsible for all medical expenses or can these be split equitably? He has joint physical and legal custody, if that makes any difference.

Thank you for your assistance

It depends on how the order is worded.

It says "...defendant is ordered to provide health care coverage for the dependant child..." and the "maintain current health care" box is checked.

unless putlined in the order, uninsured expenses are usually the responsiblity of the party who makes them.
