What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Georgia

Here is my issue -

I have a 12 year old daughter and up until she was 8 I received no child support. Finally the OCSE caught up to my childs father and set up a court order for support.
Now, it didn't go in effect until 2008.

My childs father has had nothing to do with my child since she was born. Refused to sign the birth certificate. He is not a good person and is abusive and actual works in the porn industry. Not a good guy. He was in Jail out in California for 6 months on stalking charges just to give you some back ground on his character. He is not a good guy with a bad rap sheet.

Flash forward to now or shall I say Oct 2009. I was served with papers by his attorney upon him moving back to the state for lowering child support amount, Legitmation and child custody. Now, I am a single mother and I don't make a ton of money but, I was able to get together $1000.00 to hire my own attorney. I met with him explained my background with the father and he said he will enter a notice of appearance and let me know what was next. I waited and waited and never heard anything.

In May I discovered that I can review my case online so I saw that I had a contempt order issued on me for NOT giving the info that was requested. I.e.: financial affidavit and such. I contacted my lawyer and he said he had recieved nothing from his attorney so he called and me in to get the info together and he would get it out right away. His lawyer pulled the contempt.

I have now checked August 2nd and it shows I am in contempt AGAIN. Still stating I have not giving the documents. I called my lawyer he said he would see what was going on and let me know. I have now left three messages, and 3 emails and it has been as of today over 14 business days and I have yet to get a call back.

I don't know what to do here. I have paid this attorney $1000.00 (which is alot for me).
I now have a court date set for three weeks from now for being in contempt and I cant get him on the phone.

I am so scared that I am screwed here. I am being asked to pay my childs father's legal fees and I don't have it. I also don't have to money to hire another attorney to start from scratch. I have supported my child her whole life with NO help from him and now there is a chance that he will win this because my lawyer dropped the ball.

If anyone has any suggestions PLEASE I am losing my mind over here!

If you can't get him on the phone, ask the receptionist for an appointment. Tell her you want to come in for a meeting to go over the issues.

And definitely object to any portion of the bill caused by his errors.
