What is the name of your state? Florida
We are about to move to Florida to be closer to my husband's kids. We are picking an area somewhat close to them. She has agreed to let us have the kids every Wednesday night and every other weekend.
Question 1) How do you typically split the summer vacation
2) Are we expected to drive all the way to their house to pick up and drop off or is she supposed to meet half way?

Since you are moving all the way to FL to be close, why not move to the same area those kids live in so that distance will be a non-issue? That way dad can pop over to school for plays, musical programs, recitals, etc.

Personally, I don't understand why you'd go through a move like that and not try to be pretty nearby. If you locate in the same school district, he may even be able to eventually share joint physical custody.

Unless you go to court and modify the visitation order, she is not obligated to do anything that's not ordered.
