If there is a child support is ordered through the court during divorce proceedings and the divorce case is dismissed - what does the parent paying the child support have to do in order to get the child support payments to end?

I have been told that the parent paying the child support can take the order of dismissal to their employer and that would take care of it.

Thanks for your help.

Was the order of support issued independently of the divorce?
And are the parties still separated or back together?
The order was issued during the divorce proceedings. The couple are now sharing the marital home but living separate lives until the wife files again (which is supposedly going to happen within the next month or so).
