Question

Ex made a appeal on his support, Questions?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Pa

My initial child support hearing was Sept 9th 08. Myself or my ex had till Oct 1st to make a appeal. Well he did appeal it. I got papers in the mail yesterday saying i have to show up for another court hearing Oct 23rd for this appeal hearing. My question is what are my rights to protect myself for this hearing. I am livid that he made a appeal because he does not want anything to do with our 3 children nor apparently pay anything to help suport them. I am getting 217/weekly ,35% of his monthly net income of 2,700. He has a attorney but here i am STUCK with no money for legal assistance. The guy is a real deadbeat dad. He has no bills except for his luxury expences cell, car ect all his other adult bills(rent, water ect) are paid by mommy and daddy and this is his way of trying to get back at me for spliting up with him. I don't want to have to settle for less then what my kids are entitled to. He has no problem paying his new girlfriends bills 4 her and taking care of her 2 yr old which isn't even his child but is taking me back to court to get his support lowered. I just don't get it, if anyone should have made the appeal it should have been me. Thanks in advance for any helpful information or advice anyone can give to this matter.

Did you have a LEGAL question? Venting is done on other sites.

Sorry I got caught up in my thread. My question is what rights do i have and what should I expect in this hearing. Also will they take my live in boyfriend's, who shares expenses, income into consideration.

The two parents are the ones expected to support the child; it isn't boyfriends and girlfriends or wifes, husbands.

The income/expense forms are to make sure folks aren't lying about their income.
