What is the name of your state?west virginia I was granted custody of my 3 daughters by the law master. One of them decided that she wanted to reside with her mother. now, even though I still have custody of the other 2 the lawmaster ordered that I now had to pay support for the 1, and she has to pay nothing in return. All the situation has done was make it hard for me to take care of the children in my household. What can i do about the problem?

The question is - what are the relative incomes? Is yours so much higher than hers that it cancels out the money she would be paying you?

Yes, but they didn't cancel out CS altogether (him with two, her with one), He has two AND is paying her. So, is the one being benefited at the expense of the other two? Is there now a disproportionate flow of money out of his household?

I don't know, not knowing what the incomes are. Maybe yes, maybe no. Are there arrears from when Mom had custody? That could be an additional factor.

Or is Mom voluntarilly unemployed/underemployed and no income imputation was done?

I guess we need to wait for our poster to return.

That, too, is a valid question. :)

We really need more facts, such as your incomes and the original orders, the new orders and what the circumstances were re child support when you got custody. Are there any arrears owed, if so, by whom? Did you seek child support when you got custody?
What role does your other thread have in this whole story?
