Gross income, VA disability included? What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Wisconsin As the title states, I'm trying to figure out if VA disability payments are considered for the Gross Income calculation? I found where it says VA benefits are, but the disability payments are something else. |

| I can answer this one for you. I went to court 2 weeks ago for contempt of court for non payment of child support in the state of Iowa. My VA disability payments came into question, however, they CANNOT garnish them, but they can try to include them in the calculating of your gross income. My ex's lawyer stated "dont you think your VA disability payments should be included in calculating your child support?" If you say no then you look like an a$$. Hope this helps |

| Yes VA. benefits can be calculated . As the other poster stated they can-not be garnished , however if you do not pay your ordered obligations sanctions can occur .

| Thanks. I had heard the opposite from numerous people around me, but wanted to find out the truth before I brought it up and looked bad. |
