What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? California

My boyfriend has just found out that he has 4 different cases for child support for the same child. The mother and grandmother has been claiming the child (one of the case is for back payment). He just went to court to lower payment and was granted. However, child support is still being taking out for all 4 cases. How does he go about clarifying the court order to pay only the lowered payment?

I would start with the child support enforcement agency. If the caseworker won't do something, ask to speak to a supervisor.

If he has to go to court, he can file for contempt because of two people filing for child support. He may also be able to have the prosecutor file a criminal complaint for fraudulently filing for CS.
