What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Alabama

I am 8 months and will be filing for child support. I would like to know if i have to wait till after the child is born or if i may go ahead and file now. I would also like to know if there will be an visitation order with the child support order or if that is a seprate case. If it is not a seprate case how do you go about getting supervised visitation only?

Well, in order for there to be child support, there has to be a child. Is dad going to contest paternity (he should)?

If you file for support using CSE, then you'll need to open a separate case for visitation. As to you WANTING supervised visitation, unless there's a good LEGAL reason for it, don't count on it.

Two separate matters in Bama. And you'll have to wait until Baby is born to start a CS case. You can contact your county DHR office about that. And you can bet that any supervised visitation will not last very long. Legally unfit is a far cry from what a layperson might consider unfit. That includes drinking, drugging and smoking, along with lifestyle choices.
