Michigan ...Can I Sue Him If Hes On SSI?
Where is your mom? She is the one who would be due child support, if anybody, with few exceptions.Ifyahreckon said:Michigan ...Can I Sue Him If Hes On SSI?
The legality of the "real dad's" paternity makes no difference. The OP can't sue him for child support.nextwife said:By "real dad", do you mean your biological father? Was he even established as your LEGAL father? A bioparent doesn't always have a legal obligation for support. They must be legally established as the parent, not have terminated or relinguished legal rights, etc, AND a n order of support must have been established. . Example: my daughter's bioparents are NOT her legal parents, therefore her bioparents have NO legal obligation to her at all. Other examples: a child "born of a marriage" is the LEGAL child of the husband UNLESS parenity is DISestablished.
ahhhh such an absolute statement of fact....and we ALL know how I just LOVE ABSOLUTES!!!!ceara19 said:The OP can't sue him for child support.
Not if the OP will not give ALL of the facts.BelizeBreeze said:ahhhh such an absolute statement of fact....and we ALL know how I just LOVE ABSOLUTES!!!!
Now, want to rethink that statement?
You are such a teaseBelizeBreeze said:All states allow a child to sue under certain circumstances....now what would they be?
OOH! OOH! I can think of several but they all involve at least one person having a terminal life experienceBelizeBreeze said:All states allow a child to sue under certain circumstances....now what would they be?
So far, nothing that the OP has mentioned meets the necessary criteria.BelizeBreeze said:All states allow a child to sue under certain circumstances....now what would they be?
You got that right.ceara19 said:So far, nothing that the OP has mentioned meets the necessary criteria.
Is that all you guys do? Throw words of advice out there (it seems as though it is good advice) and then you turn around and start talking crap?justalayman said:You got that right.
Here we all go running and the OP hasn't even fired the gun yet. S/he is still at "on your marks".
