What is the name of your state? Ca My daughter turned 18 last Friday. She dropped out of regular school 2 years ago. My divorce papers say about child support, "...becomes self-supporting, reaches age 19, or reaches age 18 and is no longer a full-time high school student". She lives with her mother, has a full time job and does an independent home study program. She does packet work and goes in to take tests twice a week. We thought she would have graduated last year - but is still doing the packet work, as she loses interest, has new boyfriends, work, etc. I don't know if she will "graduate" next week or next year or at all. Am I supposed to continue the child support payments now that she is 18 and not a "full-time high school student"? Also, since it states when the support was supposed to end, when my other daughter turned 18 (now 20) was my ex supposed to go in and terminate support officially? Was I? I stopped support payments when she turned 18 but I don't remember any official paperwork - or was it automatic since the order was "informal payment arrangement directly to my ex"? There was never a wage assignment or child support case or anything. Thank you for your time.
