What is the name of your state? INDIANA

Ex-husband's car was recently stolen, and in the process, he was robbed, beaten and left for dead along the road. He has a significant brain injury. It's likely that he won't be able to return to work and has no short or long term disability insurance.

If he is deemed disabled by social security and receives benefits, are his minor, dependent children also entitled to benefits? His wages are currently garnished for his child support - will SSI payments be eligible for wage garnishment?

Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.

If he were to get SSDI benefits, the children may be eligible for dependant benefits from his work record.

SSDI benefits are garnishable for child support, SSI benefits are not.
