What is the name of your state? Florida

I will make this succint as possible:

1. Child born in 1995 (now 12) - mother (now 29) father (now 31)
2. Unwed, joint custody order with mother having physical placement.
3. Child support order against father
4. Father has not paid a cent to date (approx $700 of one tax refund withheld, but mom never saw). Was taken back to court numerous times, but to no avail, father did not pay and there were no ramifications for his actions.
5. Child lived with mother through 2005
6. Child went to live with father 2 years ago as he did not care for his stepfather. Custody nor support had been legally changed.
7. Mother has not paid support since change in resident (father 12 years in arrears)
8. Father has now served mother via FL Dept of Revenue petitioning for child support, health insurance (child has medicaid), court fees, attorney's fees.
9. Father does not have a job, has remarried and has three other children (11, 6 and 18 mos). Step-mother works 3 days a week cleaning houses (probably irrelavent).
10. Mother works for minimum wage.

Mother has a consultation with attorney in the morning and needs help in generating questions for the attorney to make sure she is covering all bases. Mother is also aware that support WILL be ordered, but unsure how the last 12 years will be taken into consideration. Any suggestions for questions to ask the attorney would be greatly appreciated.

Dad will still owe the arrearages. And mom will have to pay support however depending there may not be any current support ordered as the arrearages would cancel it out.

Nothing stated by me should be taken as giving you legal advice or forming an attorney/client relationship. The devil is in the details after all.
