I completed a dissolution packet online last year, and procrastinated on filing it until recently. I heard that laws were changed with child support. Does this mean I have to get all new paper work, and the other ones are no good? We are also deviating from the child support, so that I won't have to pay as much since I have the boys half the time.
Child support has not changed all that much since last year. There is now a cash medical portion and more required language. When you filed the dissolution did you and your spouse file the required language as well? Did you give the legal reason for the deviation? You may have to complete new paperwork for the affidavits and such as it may have gotten stale.
Parents should remember 3 things: Love your kids more than you hate your ex; when you have children the relationship with the other parent is until death; your children determine what type of nursing home you end up in.
Nothing stated by me should be taken as giving you legal advice or forming an attorney/client relationship.
