What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? CA

...I haven't even heard of the woman who filed this case against me. She is saying that I'm the father of her 2 year old. She apparently has access to my name and home address, but this is coming from New York (I've never been there) and I live in California. What do I do??

You MUST respond to the filing - the last thing you want is to be declared Dad by default.

So respond, and they'll coordinate DNA paternity testing and depending on the result it's either move on with your life or congratulations, Dad!

(I realize the two are not mutually exclusive)
