What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? I live in California but the court case is in Georgia.
My ex husband is taking me to court to lower his child support. I have been served on July 6th a Summons and Rule NISI to go to court July 26th. As I live in California, I cannot make the hearing date and I have tried to get a telephonic hearing schedule, but the Court Clerk's office states that my ex's attorney must set that up. I have tried to reach my ex's attorney to no avail. I cannot afford to fly to Georgia nor hire an attorney. How should I go about attending this hearing? Is there anything I can do?
