What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)?
Ok, so I notice that you posted this in the child support forum.

So, I'm just going to take a stab in the dark here:

No, you may not terminate your parental right simply to avoid paying child support.

Or:

No, you can't terminate you ex's parental rights and still get child support.

Yes, you do have to pay support but you don't have to spend time with the child/ren.

Or:

Yes, the not-paying parent still has a right to see his/her child/ren.

Except sometimes in Texas. And one or two other states. ;)

:( I knew that but didn't want to confuse OP but adding the "except if you live in X, Y, or Z"....



ETA: 'Course it'll be just my luck that OP'll be living in one of those states, making my advice totally wrong.....
